Call of Duty: Ghosts

Current Generation Consoles To Get The Same Features As Next-Gen

Next-Gen Engine

Although Call of Duty: Ghosts is being developed to next-gen consoles, the games current generation versions (Xbox 360 and PS3) have not been forgotten. Vice president of production, Daniel Suarez, said that they have the next-generation systems in mind, thus a lot of new features have been added to the new engine, but they can be "ported down" with ease to the current generation.

Suarez: "I can't talk specific differences, but I will say from a general standpoint, we're going to be making the game for next-gen and bringing it down for the current generation"

Obviously the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions won't look as good as on the Xbox One and PS4, but Suarez mentioned that the current generation version will look better than any of the Call of Duty games they have released to date.

In related news Infinity Ward's senior community manager, Tina Palacios, revealed that unlike the current generation Call of Duty games, Ghosts is being developed to each platform separately - there is no lead platform.

Palacios: "The beauty of this current project is that we don't have a lead skew-- we are developing for each platform as we go."
